Beetle-browed, slickered ‘n’ woolly, from rocket-train “Do It Clean” to teen animus “Pride” to “Happy Death Men” histrionic. But it ain’t the nazz: The thin production underweighs their epic hand-in-the-flame psychedelia, and ‘nothing’s boy’ Ian McCulloch’s endearing madcap charm beams better when not so earnest.
